Haren is a genre that is loved or hated by many anime watchers. People say that the anime doesn’t have a good storyline so they cover it with harem and fanservice. But I personally love it.
That’s why to help you harem lovers I’ve made this list of the 10 greatest harem anime ever made by humankind. It is like a blessing from heaven for us.
10. Date a live(2013) 7/10
Itsuka Shido The anime’s protagonist appears to be an ordinary high school student who meets a mysterious girl near the epicenter of a spacequake and learns through his sister Kotori that she is one of the “Spirits.” The true cause of the spacequakes that killed 150 million people 30 years ago was spirits. He must seal the Spirit, make her fall in love with him, and kiss her to prevent “Spirits” from becoming a threat to humans and the planet from becoming a devastating place.
The plot of anime is really interesting and It has grown a larger audience each time a new season comes. A very popular character in the series is Kurumi, it is because of her that the show has gained so much audience. There is also a movie with Kurumi as the main character.
9. Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls (2016) 6.5/10
The story of the anime starts when a scared and embarrassed female liminal was delivered to Kimihito Kurusu, The protagonist of the anime. He was so kind to let Stay out and gives shelter to her. as the story moves Kimihito meets new liminals and gives shelter to them in his house
The problem takes a new turn when he learns that, as a test case for upcoming changes in the laws regulating human-liminal relationships, he would be obliged to marry one of the females, so intensifying the battle between the girls for his attention. We don’t have many harem anime with monster girls in it. It is something really enjoyable to watch.
8. Yamada-kun And the seven witches(2015) 7.6/10
One day, the main character, Ryu Yamada, falls from the stairwell onto Urara Shiraishi, the school’s top student. And when he wakes up he finds himself in Urara Shiraishi’s body. They both have swapped bodies with each other. When they both try to find a way to reverse the body swap and find that kissing each other is the trigger to it. As the sow moves forward new witches are introduced. They have different powers. The main character has the power of coping. he can copy any witch’s power by kissing her. In my opinion, it is Overall a very interesting harem anime with a good storyline.
7. The World God only knows: Godesssss (2010) 8.1/10
Keima Katsuragi, Who is the main character of anime loves to play gal games(games with 2d anime-style girls in them). One day he receives an invitation email to conquer girls and he accepts it, Thinking that it must be an invitation to a game challenge. But after that, a Cute demon appears in front of him, named Eris. She asks him for help to find the demon spirits who have escaped from hell. They hide in the heart of girls. The only way to take out those evil spirits is by making that girl fall in love with you. It is really funny and entertaining in my opinion.
6. To love Ru (2008) 7/10
The main character of the anime is a timid and naive high school student who is unable to express his love for the girl of his dreams. One day while he was sitting in the bathtub, A mysterious nude devil-tailed girl appears out of nowhere. Her name is Lala Satalin Deviluke, the planet Deviluke’s runaway crown princess. Her father wants her to marry one of the candidates. So she runs away from there. When commander Zastin arrives to bring her home, she quickly declares that in order to stay on Earth, she would marry Rito, the protagonist of the anime.
If you ask me, I’ll say It’s one of the best harem anime of all time, alongside Highschool DxD.
5. The Fruit of Grisaia (2011) 7.5/10
Unlike any other harem anime, the protagonist in this anime is not afraid of girls and is a total badass. It is very rare to see this in harem anime.
Yuuji, the protagonist of the harem anime is by far the best harem protagonist ever made. Yuji Kazami is transferred to Mihama Academy, which has only five female students but has prison-like qualities. Every student at the school has their own “circumstances,” but Yuji is under no obligation to do anything about them because he wanted a typical student life. However, based on his judgments made while at Mihama Academy, he will eventually opt to become involved on his own. This harem anime is really different then others liked by many people.
4. Saekano: How to raise a boring girlfriend (2015) 6.9/10
Tomoya Aki, the main character of the anime works part-time to make money for his otaku lifestyle. During that time he meets the most beautiful girl he ever met in his life. After a month he comes to know that the girl he met in summer break is in the same class as he is. Her name is Megumi. Then Tomoya wants to make a visual novel computer game As a result he recruits beautiful girls for different roles. He also recruits Megumi as the heroine of the game. This anime includes really funny & ecchi movements making it a really enjoyable harem anime to watch. The light novel of this harem anime ranked 10th place in “top-selling light novels of japan”.
3. Heaven’s lost property (2009) 7.3/10
Tomori Sakurai the lead character was struggling to live a normal life When an angeloid girl came falling from the sky and she starts calling him “Shisho”(Master in Japanese). As the anime moves forward more angeloid girl gets involved in his life. it is an old harem anime but it is really funny and full of ecchi movements. I highly recommend it. It is Old but Gold anime.
2. The quintessential quintuplets (2019) 7.6/10
The story of the anime begins when Funtaro(The main character) meets Ichika during lunch break. Ichika sees test results on Funtaro noticing that he has 100/100 in every exam. As a result, she asks him to help with her studies because she is really weak in that. At the time he refuses but after He comes to know a guy wants a tutor for his 5 daughters and ready to pay big times. Funtaro needs money so he accepts the offer. When he goes to tutor the girls that it is the same girl and her 4 sisters whom he refused to teach in the lunch break. As the story builds up he tries to teach them all but none of them is even interested. As the episodes move ahead they all start loving the guy who is their tutor.
It is one of my favorite anime. I really really loved it and highly recommend it as well.
1. Highschool DxD
Issei Hyodo the main character of the anime is a boy who never had a girlfriend. One day a girl asks him out for a date. But the girl turns out to be a fallen Angel and she kills Issei. When issei wakes up he sees a naked girl sleeping beside him. This girl was Rias Gremory the sister of Devil King lucifer. She Reancarnets issei as a devil to save him from dying. So now Issei who didn’t have even talked to any girl is now part of a group filled with the most beautiful girls of the school who are devils as well. I don’t think harem anime can be any better than this. High School DxD is without a doubt the best harem anime ever made. If you haven’t watched it yet. Just go for it. By far the best anime in the harem genre.
